The camp staff made it safely to Rehema this afternoon just in time for a big welcome lunch. They toured the property, had their introduction service, and then headed out to their host homes for the evening. It started raining before they left Rehema, which meant extra muddy roads. Some people got stuck and it took several hours to get home. But not to worry, that's just how it goes.
Their original plan was to put gutters on the homes of elderly people from a couple of churches. However, their delay in travel meant they needed to change those plans. Tomorrow they will be spending time with the children from Rehema. Then on Saturday they will have soccer matches (a tradition in which our team ALWAYS gets beaten badly). On Sunday they will spend the day with their host families and go to church with them. Many of them will have the opportunity to preach. Then they head out on Monday to go to the Nile. Please pray that they will have a sweet time of service and fellowship in Western Kenya.
On another note, a team of seven ladies from First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City, GA begins their journey to Kenya today. Please pray that the Lord would give them safe travel.
