Introducing Jamrock

We are thrilled to reveal the plans for Jamrock: East Africa's first indoor climbing gym. As the newest addition to BlueSky Adventures, Jamrock will have a tremendous impact on the ministry of BlueSky.  In addition to providing a state-of-the-art rock climbing facility, it will also provide a new venue for team-building and leadership training! Jamrock will serve as a base for student ministry, Camp BlueSky, and be the central location for all BlueSky offices and activities. This will give us a place to build relationships with students, families, and climbers all year long.  We are so thankful that the Lord has opened the door for us to expand the ministry of BlueSky through Jamrock!

Jamrock will be an asset to our student ministry, providing a place to host youth group, lock-ins and fun events. We have an area of our gym dedicated to student events, which includes stadium seating and a stage.  The gym will be the first place we are able to host events in our own facility!

The gym is located right in the heart of Nairobi's "Little India," so we will daily be interacting with the South Asian community of Nairobi. They are the shopkeepers, residents of the area, owners of the shopping center and the climbers in our gym. BlueSky has long wanted to be more involved with the Hindu and Muslim community, however it can be a difficult one to break into as Christians. With the strategic location of the rock gym, we now have the opportunity be immersed in this community and share Christ with the South Asians.

We are so excited about the opportunity to build Jamrock and the many ways in which the Lord will use it for His Glory.  We are in immediate need of funding to get Jamrock up and running.  In total, the estimated funding need is $200,000.  Would you consider being a part of this project by giving financially? 

One easy way to contribute is to Buy-A-Wall.  We have calculated that a 8 ft. by 12 ft. piece of wall including the wood, holds, metal braces, and paint will cost $110.  Buy-A-Wall is an easy way to have a huge impact!
