The FPC team was hard at work at Bukholi Church today. Lori and Susan led training for about one-third of the ECD teachers. These teachers work with preschool age children and have little or no formal training in child education. The training that they received today will benefit the children they teach for years to come.
While the teachers were in training, the rest of the team took care of the children to free the teachers up. Margaret taught the story of Jonah and did a craft with the kids. Carol and Caroline did music with the kids and Adele and Elizabeth did games. The kids rotated through the three stations and had an AMAZING time. They had lunch with the ECD teachers and the pastors that are helping with the team. After lunch they were able to visit the homes of 3 of the ECD teachers. They got to meet a 5 day old baby on one of the stops. After the visitation, the ladies sang with the teachers in the vans on their way back to their host homes for the evening.
The camp staff have left Rehema and have safely arrived in Jinja, Uganda where they will raft the Nile tomorrow. It will be a trip highlight for many of them. Please pray that the Lord would give them a safe trip and a beautiful day on the river tomorrow.
