Decade

Camp BlueSky celebrated a fun milestone this summer, we had our first camper complete a decade of camp!  Taji  finished his 10th summer of Camp BlueSky. Taji is the first person (other than Kim) to attend 10 summers of Camp here in Kenya. We celebrated his years of camp by letting him carry a torch into summit fires (our Friday night program), and then we gave him a camp name during the Summit Fires program. Typically, only staff and campers who pass Lion's Pride receive camp names, so Taji was honored to receive his name: Decade.  Then, at closing program, we presented him with a Bible as well as a 'shield' for his camp necklace. This 'shield' represents 10 years of Camp, and will be given to anyone else who reaches 10 years of camp here.  Taji's 10 years of Camp was definitely celebrated. And, we at camp look forward to having more and more people reach this 10 year mark!
