First Student Event of the Year

The BlueSky Student Ministry team hosted their first event of the year on Friday night.  The high school kick-off was held at the Preston's home, which will be its temporary location until the new student ministry space (recently named The Crux) is open.  There were 45 kids at the event, which is super exciting in and of itself.  Even more exciting is that there were 7 different schools represented!  The team worked really hard to invite kids that they met at camp to the event and the Lord was so faithful to bring them.

They had a cookout and had a rock wall, volleyball, a slack line, and soccer for the kids to enjoy while they all got to know each other.  Everyone had a great time and left excited about coming back next week and bringing their friends.  In addition to the high school students meeting on Friday night, the middle schoolers will be meeting for the first time on Sunday afternoon.  Please be in prayer for the team this week as they continue to pursue relationships with the students.
