3rd Session Has Started

After a long 3 week break, camp is back in action for the next 3 weeks.  Yesterday, 45 kids made their way to camp.  The kids who come to camp in July are usually in schools that follow the British school system.   There are kids from lots of different backgrounds who will come to camp this month.  Many will be "White Kenyans," kids whose families have been in Kenya since colonization.   These families generally really love Kenya and have made it home for generations.  There will also be a lot of Kenyan kids during the July weeks, their parents are generally businesspeople, doctors, lawyers, etc.  Sometimes we even have kids whose parents hold prominent positions in the government during July.  A final group of kids that come to kids in July are South Asian.  They are generally Hindu or Muslim kids whose families have immigrated to Kenya from India or Pakistan for business purposes.  Many of these families have been in Kenya for 3 or more generations.  Please be in prayer for the kids at camp this week.  Very few of them come from families who know Jesus and many of them come from families who worship another god altogether.
Also, please pray for the counselors.  They were excited to be back in camp, but the reality is that they are coming off a long break and it can be hard to get back in the groove.  So pray that the Lord would give each of them an extra measure of love, energy, and patience this week.
Just by way of update for FPC, they are safely back in the States after a wonderful time in Kenya.  Thank you so much to the members of this team and those to supported them.  We are so thankful for all that you were able to do while you were in Kenya.
