A Quick Ministry Update

The Team
(from Left: Jason, Michelle, Emily, Amanda, Stephen, Kim, Andrew, Lexi)

We are so thankful for all of the new team members that are hard at work in Kenya right now!  Right now our team is split between 2 schools and they are actively engaging in both the middle and high schools.  Lexi is helping with the middle school drama at the International school.  The performance is next weekend.  Jason has started a middle school basketball club and is assisting with both middle and high school youth groups.  Andrew is coaching varsity rugby and Stephen is coaching JV rugby.  Michelle is helping with both JV and Varsity volleyball as well as working with both middle and high school youth groups.  Amanda is continuing to pour into the youth group student leaders and is leading a Bible study for girls from the international school.  The team is also substitute teaching.  Between coaching, theater, and substituting, the team has opportunities to be on campus at the schools every day.  This is a huge answer to prayer!  We are so thankful that the Lord has opened the door for new team members to join us and is giving each of them opportunities to build relationships and share Christ with students.
In addition to student work, lots of exciting things have been happening with BlueSky Adventures.  Emily has been doing a fabulous job as the interim director for that program.  She has been focusing on developing our Kenyan staff and beginning May 1st, several of our Kenyan staff members will be taking on managerial roles.  It is incredible to see them moving into leadership positions and we are so thankful for Emily's diligence to prepare them for these roles.
Jason, Stephen, and Andrew are continuing to make progress towards building a Rock Room in Nairobi.  Right now they have identified one location as a strong possibility.  Please be in prayer that this will work out if this is in fact the location that the Lord has for the climbing gym.
Lastly, CAMP is just around the corner!  The team has been busy developing the program, writing the devotion guide, and signing up campers!  If you will remember, last year we really struggled to sign up campers in June.    Right now more kids are signed up than there were at this time last year, but we still need more, so please pray that more kids will sign up for camp!
